Call me superstitious but I admit I gave a hard look at a cucumber for 30 long seconds and then passed.... but I keep buying fresh cherries, strawberrier, melons... and apricots. This time they ended up in a pie... and the result, creamy but still with a point of acidity, was thrilling! (and for once I didn't mind that the children were less thrilled, it only meant more for me!)
